In 2020, the Government of Nepal aims to uplift the tourism sector of Nepal, and so started the campaign as VisitNepal2020. So, to make this campaign a successful initiation, the Department of Tourism already prepare the plan and proposal. These plans and proposals include the development of different rural cities of Nepal and to make the as on, tourist destination to be more favorable for sight-seekers to explore. In the same proposal, the road connection from Dhunche to Pokhara is also mentioned and is completed within time.
According to the Sanjib Amatya (Chairperson of Rasuwa Chamber of Commerce), “in order to maintain the efficient travel to the tourist coming from Pokhra, to explore the prominent trekking sites such as Gosainkunda, Langtang National Park and to explore the Tamang culture of Nepal, this road service from Dunche to Pokhara is established”.
In association with Prithivi Highway Management and Timure Yatayat, the road connection from Dhunche to Pokhara Lakeside is came in action. Per head, Rs.850 will cost if you wish to travel from Dhunche, Rasuwa to Pokhara.
Usually, from Pokhara to Dhunche it takes around 8 hours of drive. The first bus from Dhunche left around 6:00 am and the first bus from Pokhara left around 6:45 am.
