Hidden Destination Simba Waterfall in Lalitpur, Manikhel

About an hour of drive and hike, you will get a final spot near to Kathmandu known as Simba waterfalls in Lalitpur Manikhel. The untouched and Hidden trekking destination from Kathmandu is Manikhel Lalitpur where you get to stop with the natural waterfall known as Simba Waterfall. Simba is the Tamang word which means cold. Since the water flowing through this waterfall is too cold, the locals named this hidden waterfall as Simba waterfall.

The trek to Simba waterfall is less known to public and tourist. But after visiting this mysterious destination with the adventuring trail and tracking route, we are sure you will not regret exploring this destination and villages near to it.

In the way to Manikhel where your final destination arrives, you will surely find a temple known as Saraswati Kunda in Lele Bus stop. Saraswati Kunda available in this region is the only kunda in all over Nepal. People used to visit and worship goddess Saraswati and drinks the water flowing through it. It is believed that a child who drinks water from this temple then he can speak, though he hasn’t got the tongue at the right time.

How to reach Simba Waterfall

From Kathmandu, there is three-way to reach Simba Waterfall located in Manikhel Lalitpur. You can either select the route to Simba Waterfall via Chobar or Satdobato or Bhaisepati. The best way to enjoy the trip is to travel by bike rather than the four-wheeler.

Best Time to Visit Simba Waterfall

Since at the dry season, there is not enough water flowing through the waterfall, that might down your interest. So, the best time to explore Simba waterfall is in the Monsoon season, where the water flows continuously with the large drops.
