Jhapa, a district from Far-east Nepal

Jhapa is the prominent destination to explore eastern Nepal. Being the district of fertile terai land, there are very few chances of capturing the alluring views of Mountain range and high hill, but in terms of natural resources, cultural diversity, cash crops and different historical places which is the crowd-pleasing destination, make Jhapa as the tourist destination from Far-east Nepal.

Jhapa is the district from Far-east Nepal with a total population around 812,650 (2011 Census data) that covers the total fertile land of 1606 km square. The district is surrounded by Ilam in the north, Morang in the west, Bihar (India) is south and West Bengal (India) in southeast and east. Jhapa is also the border that connects two different countries Nepal and India. The district is the hometown is the origination of Burmese and is the hometown of various communities from Indo-Aryan.

Sunmai:

Sunmai is the border that separates two beautiful districts of eastern Nepal, Jhapa, and Ilam. In comparison to other places of Jhapa, Sunmai always has an adjustable temperature, with that reason Sunmai has become the perfect destination to organize different Picnic programs. Riding a bike along with the cool air from West-Bengal India gives you the true memory of Jhapa, Nepal.

Salbari:

During summertime, daily hundreds of people used to visit Salbari to spend and get rid off hot sunny days. Due to this reason, Salbari became a tourist destination. Raniban:

Raniban is the historical place in Jhapa, where five different shape lakes have maintained their position since a long period of time. It is 14km inside from the Surunga. Turning the pages of history,

The place is snap by Tigers and local of this district used to face the frustration from tigers daily. At the same time, King Mahendra visited the place and Hunted the tigers. After that the place slowly turns into the Human settlement rather than the habitat of wild tigers. During the King visit to this place, Queen Ratna Rajya Lakshmi Devi Shah takes a bath in one of the five lakes. With this reason the place named as Raniban.

Baradashi:

Baradashi is the historical tourist destination of Jhapa Nepal, surrounded by the green fertile land of terai. The major attraction of Baradashi was, greenery surrounding, Old-aged people home-stay, Gaurishankhar Vidyapith and Gayatri Sworup Ashram Gurukul. Baradashi is 8km away from the place Charpani (on the way to the east-west highway).

Bansbari:

It is one of the famous Picnic destinations of Jhapa. Environment surrounded by the alluring gardens, trees, and lakes attracts everyone to come and get rid off their busy life. Different kinds of species are also caged in this place. So, Bansbari is the place to spend your weekday with family, friends, and relatives. Sight seekers can also travel in the bank of the river via boating. Different adventurous activities are also available in this region.

Satashidham:

Satashidham is one of the tourist as well as a religious place that has its own importance. The destination crowded by the Hindu devotees and tourists that came to explore architectural natural stone, Satashidham is at the peaked border of Jhapa and Ilam. People used to spend their day taking a long bath from the waterfall.

Burney:

Burney is the place that is famous for cultivating the local tea. Burney is on the way to Ilam from Jhapa. While you are traveling from Jhap to Ilam, you will get a chance to capture this beautiful surrounding covered by the tea cultivation.

How to get to Jhapa, Nepal:

Jhapa is around 420 km away from Kathmandu. There is a direct route available from Kathmandu to Jhapa. You can either take a Bus or plane. In Bus, you need to travel around 9 hr to reach to the Jhapa. As soon as you land on TIA airport or get around in Bus parks of Nepal, you will find the direct route to reach your destination.
